INTERTWinE: exascale is a software problem
To meet the needs of science Grand Challenges, the supercomputing community will deliver, in the first half of the 2020s, an Exascale supercomputer – able to perform 1018 flop/s, or a million million million calculations per second.
INTERTWinE is all about interoperability: making sure that tried and tested ways to program a supercomputer work together as well as possible.
|WHAT do we do?||
We help scientists to write effective software for tomorrow’s Exascale supercomputers
|WHY do we do it?||
Today’s scientific software won’t work on tomorrow’s Exascale supercomputers
|HOW do we do it?||
We bring together scientists, application developers, and HPC innovators to make parallel programming work on tomorrow’s Exascale supercomputers
|WHO are we?||
We are HPC experts from leading European supercomputing centres, ICT industry, and research labs
