Workshop on Preparing for Exascale Systems

30 May 2017
INTERTWinE will participate in a mini-workshop, "Preparing for PRACE Exascale Systems", on 1st June in Jülich.

The INTERTWinE team, represented by Nick Brown, will be joining representatives from many other FET-HPC projects and from the (supercomputing) Centres of Excellence, in Jülich on 1st June, for an Exascale Tools and Technology workshop.

The aim of the workshop, which has been organised by PRACE, is to raise awareness of the technologies and innovations being developed within the FET-HPC programme, and of the problems that scientists are facing, within the Centres of Excellence, on the path to Exascale supercomputing. The workshop provides INTERTWinE with an important opportunity to develop our links across the European Exascale Program, plus we are hoping to identify potential collaborators for one or several mini projects we would like to undertake in the final year of the project to, for example, validate the Resource Manager and Directory/ Cache technology previews, or to introduce the programming-model advances we have been working on to some early-adopter, end-user applications.
