INTERTWinE results at EuroMPI 2018
EuroMPI is the major annual European event focusing on new developments and applications of message-passing parallel computing, with a particular focus on MPI.
This year's event will be held in Barcelona, Spain, on 23-26 September.
INTERTWinE - and the project outcomes - will be represented in a tutorial and a conference presentation there. The work done under INTERTWinE is a major component of both the tutorial and the presentation.
- Tutorial:"MPI + Y" - interoperable APIs for maximising asynchrony, Sunday 23rd September, 16:30-18:00
This tutorial will be presented by INTERTWinE team members Dr Christian Simmendinger (T-Systems - Solutions for Research) and Dr Vicenç Beltran (BSC).
The tutorial features both an introduction and a hands-on session for two topics: the Task-Aware MPI (TAMPI) library and a recent GASPI extension which leverages the concept of shared windows. A full description is available at: http://www.intertwine-project.eu/training#MPI-Y.
- Conference presentation: Improving the Interoperability between MPI and Task-Based Programming Models, Monday 24th September, 16:30-18:00 (Technical Program Session 2 - Hybrid Programming)
The authors of this paper include INTERTWinE team members Dr Vicenç Beltran and Dr Xavier Teruel (both BSC), and Dr Daniel Holmes (EPCC).
If you are going to EuroMPI 2018, please come along to the tutorial and the talk to find out more about what we have achieved in INTERTWinE!
