MPI Forum update

02 May 2018
INTERTWinE's Dan Holmes reports from the latest MPI Forum meeting.

INTERTWinE continues to be actively engaged in relevant standards body meetings. Dan Holmes (EPCC, University of Edinburgh) attended the most recent MPI Forum meeting in Portland, Oregon.

During this meeting, he tells us, the “Persistent Collectives” proposal began the formal ratification procedure, the “Sessions” proposal took a step forward, but the “Fault Tolerance” saga took a step side-ways.

For further information about the issues on which the MPI Forum is currently focusing, read Dan's blog article at https://www.epcc.ed.ac.uk/blog/2018/05/01/march-2018-meeting-mpi-forum.
